Dangerous Baggage

Portable Electronic Devices Containing Batteries

Portable electronic devices including:

  • medical devices
  • oxygen concentrators
  • household devices (such as cameras, cell phones, laptops, tablets, chargers, electronic cigarettes, and other things)

Passengers and crewmembers are strongly advised not to use portable electronic devices containing lithium batteries and not charge them in the cabin.

Transportation of portable electronic devices is carried out according to the requirements:

Small means of transport for personal movement

Small means of transport for personal movement includes:
— Mono-wheels,
— Segway (mini-segway),
— Hoverboards,
— Gyro pacemakers,
— Electro scooters.

Transportation is carried out in checked baggage if:
lithium battery is not installed in the vehicle,
— The lithium battery removed from the vehicle is allowed to carry only in hand luggage,
— The battery power does not exceed the established norm - 160 Watt-hour(Втч, W/h).

Rules for the transport of dangerous goods and substances

In the case of examine, during the preflight screening, of any items or substances that could be used for attacking, yet not included into the list of forbidden items onboard in accordance with legislation of Russian Federation*, such items or substances shall be packed by Passenger and carried as checked-in baggage.

*Order of Russia Ministry of Transport dated 25 July 2007 N 104 (ed. by 06.07.2016) "On approval of Rules for carrying out preflight and post-flight inspections".

Liquids in containers exceeding 100 ml in volume shall not be accepted for carriage, even when the container is not full.

Medicines, child food, and special dietary food are excluded from the provisions listed above.

Passengers are not advised to place into checked baggage any fragile or perishable items, money, jewelries, precious metals, computers, electronic gadgets, pecuniary obligations, capital stock or other valuables, business documents, passports, identity documents, keys, and similar items.

Passengers bear all responsibilities in relation to carriage within their baggage any items either forbidden for air transport.
